HIGH5 EnergySource 4:1
EnergySource 4:1 is an all-in-one sports drink for use both during and after exercise. It’s part of the HIGH5 4:1 range, so it contains 4 parts carbohydrate to 1 part protein and key electrolytes. The carbohydrate content is a 2:1 fructose mix.
The ingredients used in this scientifically formulated blend of carbs and protein with key electrolytes help sustain performance during endurance exercise and help maintain hydration by enhancing the absorption of water¹. It also helps promote recovery of normal muscle function³ after exercise and contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass². This can result in stronger, more resilient muscle.
EnergySource 4:1 is a fantastic product for periods of hard training and multi-day endurance events and when you anticipate a big step up in training intensity or volume, such as a training camp.

Whey Protein Isolate
The whey protein isolate in 4:1 is the very highest quality. The Food & Agricultural Organisation have an internationally recognised method to compare the quality of various proteins. This is known as the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS). An ideal protein will have a PDCAAS score of 1.0. The Protein used in 4:1 has a even higher score of 1.14. It’s also high in Leucine, a branch chain amino acid.
“The mixed fruit flavor is fresh, tasty and the whey protein aids recovery”
Mountain Biking UK, June 2012
“High5’s 4:1 energy source contains a mix of maltodextrin and fructose sugar sources, as recent research has revealed that fuel uptake can be maximized if multiple sources of carbohydrates are taken on board together”
