Our Smartfit Bike Setup combines dynamic video movement analysis with non-contact body scan and high precision bike scan with laser technology. It shows the sitting position live on the bike, enabling biomechanical analyses and provides settings and geometries.

FUNCTIONAL STABILITY TRAINING IS DESIGNED TO OPTIMIZE MOVEMENT

It begins with the simple understanding of how the human body works most efficiently and integrates those concepts into rehabilitation and performance training. It is based on functional anatomy and biomechanics, not simplistic anatomy.

It is a combination of functional assessment, mobility, strengthening, corrective exercise, manual techniques, dynamic stabilization, and neuromuscular control. This isn’t one system, but rather the integration of thought processes from several sources and disciplines.

PILATES

PILATES IS ALL ABOUT STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY OF THE BODY BY FOCUSING ON THE CORE, POSTURAL MUSCLE GROUPS. CYCLISTS TEND TO HAVE HIGHLY DEVELOPED LEGS FROM HOURS ON THEIR BIKES, BUT UNFORTUNATELY CYCLING ALONE WON’T DEVELOP THE BODY AS A WHOLE. THAT’S WHERE PILATES CAN COME IN…WITH BENEFITS SUCH AS DEVELOPING CORE STRENGTH, INCREASED BALANCE AND IMPROVED POSTURE, BY ADDING PILATES TO YOUR TRAINING YOU WILL FIND THAT IN TIME YOUR BODY, AND EVEN YOUR LEGS, WORK MORE EFFICIENTLY WHEN YOU GET ON YOUR BIKE!

A stronger, more stable core will help transfer more power to the pedals by providing a solid platform for the lower body to push against. Pilates exercises are targeted to develop strength in the deep stabilizing muscles of the abdomen, glutes and spine, taking pressure off the superficial muscles and promoting more balanced and efficient use. This kind of inner strength training, along with pilates focus on postural alignment, flexibility, balance and stability will support you as a cyclist through those long rides or short sprints!

WE UNDERSTAND THAT INJURED ATHLETES WANT TO GET BACK IN THE GAME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THAT’S WHY WE OFFER ORTHOPEDICS AND SPORTS REHABILITATION SERVICES DESIGNED TO SAFELY AND QUICKLY RESTORE PREVIOUS LEVELS OF FUNCTION AND ACTIVITY. OUR PROGRAM CARES FOR ATHLETES OF ALL SKILL SETS.

Cycling is a physically demanding sport which can involve hours in the saddle and short recovery periods followed by further long rides. The results of such a repetitive and rigorous routine, range from fatigue to even muscle tissue damage. Consequently, many cyclists suffer with overuse injuries. This is often exacerbated by poorly fitting equipment.

BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS

IT’S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE THAT LIGHTER CYCLISTS GO FASTER UP HILLS, AND LARGER, MORE POWERFUL CYCLISTS MAKE BETTER TIME TRIAL RIDERS OR SPRINTERS. REDUCING EXCESS BODY FAT WILL MAKE YOU A FASTER CYCLIST, AND REDUCING TOTAL BODY WEIGHT WILL ESPECIALLY HELP ON THE CLIMBS. STRAPPING AND TAPING TECHNIQUES CAN HELP PREVENT INJURY AS WELL AS PROTECT THE ATHLETE FROM RE-INJURY WHILST RETURNING TO SPORT.
